About our hogs
To have a good cut of meat, you must start with a quality hog. We are committed to raising and purchasing hogs that live in a healthy environment and are given personal care.
Freezer Pork For Sale
We do our best to keep a supply of premium pork in stock to meet the needs of our customers. Bacon, pork chops, sausage, ham, and more! Our pork may be picked up at our farm by appointment or a delivery schedule will be set up. We can arrange for deliveries to a few local towns throughout the week (Mt. Carmel, Albion, Grayville) and we make monthly deliveries to the Evansville area.
**Due to the large amounts of pork we move during peak seasons, availability may change quickly. Please contact us directly to see what we have in stock.**
Whole or Half of a Hog In addition to selling individual cuts, we do offer whole or half hogs for those who prefer more meat at one time. Our hogs generally cost between $275-$325 per half a hog and you will receive around 100-110 lbs of meat per half. The cost can fluctuate a little depending on the market and processing fee. Processing, delivery of the hog to the processor and delivery of the processed pork to your location of choice is included in the price.
(Local delivery is free, but we will do our best to get you the pork if you're not local. We currently have repeat customers in Arkansas, Missouri, Indiana and Northern Illinois) |
Healthy Hogs Many of our customers desire an animal which has not been given any antibiotics, is fed as little gmo grain as possible and raised on the dirt and in a pasture if possible. Our hogs are provided a barn to sleep in, straw in the winter, clean water and as much feed as they would like to eat. We take great care to insure the comfort and well being of our hogs. We are limited on the number of these premium hogs we can produce so they do sell out very quickly. Contact us today to have your name added to our processing list!
The hogs come from a mixture of breeds and differ from litter to litter including: Landrace, Yorkshire, and the heritage breeds Duroc and Berkshire. We use the different breeds for specific reasons. For instance, the Landrace breed is known as an extremely good mother and can raise large litters and the Duroc breed will add growth and meat quality. We prefer to raise hogs to our ideal weight of 310-330 lbs., which can take anywhere from 5-6 months from birth. |
